TYPE OF SCANS AVAILABLE
Abdominal Ultrasound :
This helps in detecting abnormalities in the abdomen such as gall bladder stones and kidney stones.
Pregnancy Ultrasound :
This is commonly used to scan pregnant woman and helps to monitor the growth of the fetus.
4 - Dimensional Ultrasound :
This facility helps you see moving 3-dimensional pictures of the baby inside the mother's womb. You can achieve a 3-dimensional view of the fetuses face or other body parts and actually see them in motion! Better still, you can capture it all digitally on CD for those memories.
Gynaecology Scans :
To check for problems in the uterus or Ovaries - for fibroids or cysts, etc. With a special transvaginal probe, you can get a better picture with more details when compared to a regular scan.
Breast Ultrasound :
Used for younger women and girls where mammography cannot be done. It is also used as an adjunct to mammography to diagnose problems in the breast.
Colour Doppler Ultrasound :
Colour Doppler is a colour USG that is used to study the arteries and veins of the different parts of the body. For instance, the carotid arteries in the neck, renal arteries in the abdomen, veins of the legs for Deep Vein Thrombosis or Varicose Veins and more.
